What is it?
Juvéderm is an injectable form of hyaluronic acid. It’s a naturally occurring sugar that has been successfully synthesized by scientists for many uses. Is there just one type of Juvéderm?
No, there are several types of Juvéderm to choose from.

Does it hurt?
Most people report little pain. If you experience severe pain, you need to return to your doctor for evaluation.
There is some tenderness to be expected as well as some mild swelling and possible lumpiness as the gel settles into place (for a full list of side effects, ask your doctor or read the insert info). These side effects are temporary and you should expect them to disappear within about two weeks.
How long does it last?
How long it lasts depends on the quality of the application, but is generally around two years.
